19 January to 08 March 2008 Pio Abad A group exhibition showcasing some of the best printmaking talent emerging from the Scottish art colleges over the last 3 years. Including works by Pio Abad, Gordon Robin Brown and Jessica Harrison. In 2008 we will host a rousing programme of quality, innovative exhibitions and gallery-based events. Presenting the very best examples of contemporary printmaking, from across Scotland and beyond, this programme will engage and inspire visitors with a broad range of tastes and interests. In addition you can also view our large stock of prints, for sale in our display browsers. Original prints by over 600 artists, hand-made in the studio, are available for sale in a wide range of styles, themes and sizes, with prices ranging from as little as £50 up to £3000. Art lovers looking for stunning artwork for their home, or a gift idea for that special person, can take advantage of our 0% interest free loans to spread the cost over 10 months; and for a really special and unique gift idea we also offer gift vouchers. We offer expert advice and supply prints for domestic and commercial interiors, as part of our arts consultancy service. Edinburgh Printmakers Gallery is one of Scotland's foremost gallery spaces devoted to contemporary fine art original prints - most of which are made in our studio. Some of the most established artists working in Scotland use our studio alongside recent graduates, professional artists and many printmakers from all over the world, who come to use the facilities on offer. We have four print browsers - over 500 prints - visitors can view an amazing range of the best contemporary prints available in Scotland. We have highly knowledgeable gallery staff on hand to help and answer any queries about the artists, their working syles and subject matter. Exhibition Programme To complement the work on show by the resident artists we have a rolling programme of exhibitions representing the whole spectrum of contemporary graphic art. Previous exhibitions have ranged from the graphic works of artists such as Marc Chagall , David Hockney, Matisse and Picasso to contemporary American prints by such artists as - Andy Warhol and Jim Dine - to the wealth of talent that exists in Scotland itself. The Gallery and Studio are very centrally situated being only a few minutes walk from both the railway station, central bus station and the main shopping and cafe areas.
