Ingrid Bell 1 2 3 This exhibition showcases some of the best of Edinburgh’s printmaking talent and includes artworks created on-site in collaboration with internationally established artists. This is our largest annual exhibition, and offers an unprecedented range of subjects and mediums. A spectrum of styles is represented: from abstract to figurative; landscape to townscape; still life to portraiture. For over 35 years Edinburgh Printmakers has provided studio space and equipment to support Edinburgh ’s broad community of artists. It is recognised as an international leader in innovative technical processes and a pioneer of contemporary printmaking practices. A viewing window connects the gallery with the print studio, enabling visitors to watch the artists in the process of creating original artwork. This gives visitors a ‘behind the scenes’ glimpse at the process of printmaking and adds another dimension to their experience of the exhibition. The breadth of printmaking techniques used has created an array of diverse works and results in an exhibition that has something for all tastes. With prices ranging from £40 to £1000 and its festive timing, means that it is the ideal opportunity to find that special gift! |
