‘Interactions’ was published by Edinburgh Printmakers in a limited edition of 20
hand-printed, signed, numbered prints. 2003

The portfolio of original limited edition prints were created and printed at Edinburgh Printmakers with technical assistance and direction from Alastair Clark, lithography technician at EP. This project was initiated to promote the contemporary practice and possibilities of lithography as a creative medium.

No theme was set, other than producing work in the medium of lithography on fixed paper size with the insistence on creating a new original work. The aim was to provide an opportunity for each artist to work hands-on to create and produce a print, enabling a close experience of the practicalities and skills involved in creating a piece in an unfamiliar medium. Artists rolled up their sleeves and made prints.

The title Interactions refers to both the interaction between each artist and the materials and processes unique to the printmaking medium and the interaction between each artist and the collaborating printer. Each artist was introduced to a working method most sympathetic to expressing their idea naturally.
