ANN ROSS studied at Edinburgh College of Art in the 1960s. She is an elected member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour and the Society of Scottish Artists.

She has worked in publishing, exhibition design and education while continuing to paint and exhibit. Her paintings have been shown throughout Britain with several solo exhibitions at the Open Eye Gallery in Edinburgh and at Cambridge Contemporary Art. She regularly contributes to the large annual exhibitions at the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Glasgow Institute and her work is represented in several public collections.

Travelling in Britain and abroad has inspired her work with watercolour in the past few years. The memory of different cultures and light, the patterns and rhythms of architecture and landscape are recalled in her paintings.
